MARR – tender for the supply agreement of food products to Autonomous Province of Bolzano signed

MARR: contract signed with the Autonomous Province of Bolzano for the lots awarded to MARR in the tender for the supply agreement of food products to Public Administrations in the Province.

The 22 lots of the agreement awarded to MARR are authorised for a spending of up to 31.8 million Euros.

Rimini, 11 December 2014 – MARR S.p.A. (Milan: MARR.MI), the leading company in Italy in the distribution of food products to the foodservice, has in the last few days signed the contract with the Autonomous Province of Bolzano for the lots awarded to MARR in the tender for the supply agreement of food products to Public Administrations in the Province, in which MARR was awarded 22 of the total of 40 lots.

The duration of the supply agreement is 12 months from the date of signature, and can be extended for another 12 months at the discretion of the awarding authority should the maximum spending amount not have been reached by the expiry date.

On the basis of this agreement, those adhering - in other words the local authorities, companies, institutions and in general all the public bodies in the Autonomous Province of Bolzano - will be able to order food products by adhering to the supply agreement awarded.

The 22 lots awarded to MARR concern the supply of meats and cured meats, frozen fish, all milk and egg derivative products, fresh organic fruit and vegetables and various other organic and non-organic food products, in addition to various frozen products.

The maximum spending amount for the lots awarded to MARR is up to 31.8 million Euros.

For the MARR Group, this is the first time it has been awarded the tender of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano and represents a significant strengthening of its leadership in public supply agreements with particularly stringent qualitative standards. The Group also has significant experience in terms of being awarded complex and structured tenders, such as the national Consip tender, which is still ongoing for the bodies which adhered to it before March 2014. The so-called SDAPA (Dynamic Procurement System for Public Administrations) has entered into force since then, and this has led to the fractioning of the tenders in which MARR has participated, with positive results.

The sales of the MARR Group through tenders to Public Administrations during 2013 amounted to approximately 71 million Euros, and approximately 51 million in the first nine months of 2014, in line with the same period in 2013.
