Cremonini Group: a European leader in the food sector

The Cremonini Group is amongst one of the most important European operators in the food sector and is active in three business segments: production, distribution and catering.

The Group is the leader in Italy in the production of beef and meat-based transformed products (INALCA JBS S.p.a.) as well as the leader in Italy in the distribution of food to the catering sector (MARR s.p.a.),. It is also amongst one of the most important Italian cured meat producers (MONTANA ALIMENTARI S.p.a.).

Furthermore it has a significant presence in the restaurant services sector and leadership in Europe in catering services on-board trains and in Italy in railway stations (CHEF EXPRESS). Lastly, the Group, is second in the Italian market in motorway restaurant services.

Today, the Cremonini Group is at the forefront in technological innovation and in the standard of quality of its products and services. All the principal Group companies are, in fact, certified UNI EN ISO 9002; the official brand that is recognised world-wide.

In 2009, total consolidated revenues for the Group were 2.8 billion euro, an increase of 4.3%.

The turnover, the size of which places the group as a reality at European level, derives: 40% from production (beef, cured meats and spices) 40% from distribution activities, and 20% from catering activities.
