An absolute leader in Italy in beef sector
Inalca S.p.A. has been operating since 1963 in the beef sector and today it is the absolute leader in Italy and one of Europe's principal operators in this sector.
On 3 March 2008 the 50% acquisition of Inalca S.p.A. by the Brazilian JBS Sa Group, world number one in the production of meat, was concluded. This alliance has a strong strategic value because it guarantees direct access to high quality raw material and synergic commercial development world-wide for the next few years. Based on the agreements, governance of the new Inalca JBS remains entrusted to the Cremonini Group.
Inalca JBS is renowned for the high level of industrialisation of the production process and for the strong compliance to the E.U. regulations concerning safety and for a wide range of processed products.
Inalca JBS, besides realising the first phase of the transormation typical in the slaughtering industry (beef sides, quarters, fresh and frozen cuts), also produces products with a high commercial sevice with the brand Montana (portions, minced, crumbed, pre-cooked, pre-sliced and grilled, canned meat, hamburgers and meat extracts) which contributes added value to the raw materials and guarantees the complete production cycle.
Economic results
Inalca JBS ended 2009 with total revenues of Euro 1,026.5.
